Your First Visit

Following the recommendations below will allow you to make the most of your consultation time with Dr Dibia.

o   Be prepared to provide information about diseases that run in your family, describe current and past health problems along with their treatments. Write it all down if that helps!

o    Bring along any recent test results you may have or copies of any medical records.

o   Make a list of the medications you are taking (or bring in the bottles) including doses and frequency of prescription and over-the-counter drugs.  It is important to include any herbs, vitamins or supplements you are, or have recently, taken.

o   Sometimes it can help to bring a friend or relative to your visit. A lot of information may be discussed at a doctor’s visit and having someone in the consultation can help with writing down instructions, share information or talk with Dr Dibia.

Professional Fees

Dr Dibia’s fees are in line with the AMA recommended fees. For out of hospital consultations, Medicare will cover a portion of the consultation fee when there is a valid referral from a general practitioner or specialist. We will notify you of the relevant practice fee when arranging your appointment.  On making your booking, we will send out a ‘New Patient’ letter confirming the details.

Payment in full on the day is expected and appreciated. We participate in Medicare electronic patient claims which means that if your bank account details are registered with Medicare we are able to submit the claim electronically for you and the Medicare benefit will be refunded to your bank account within 48 hours. Department of Veterans Affairs patients are bulk billed directly to DVA.

Should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment we appreciate as much notice as possible, ideally at least 48 hours.   If you are running late for your appointment, please phone us as soon as is feasible.
